The Vital Statistics Section of the County Clerk’s office maintains public records of El Paso County marriages and the District Clerk maintains the records of divorces. Note that certified copies of marriage licenses are only available from the El Paso County Clerk if that is where you were married. Certified copies of divorce decrees are only available from the District Clerk in the district where your divorce was granted.

You must provide acceptable ID verification to receive copies of marriage and divorce records. You can use a driver’s license, federal or state ID card, Military ID card or U.S passport. There are additional forms of ID that are acceptable. You can find a list of these ID on the website for vital statistics.
Fees for divorce and marriage records are non-refundable and non-transferable even if the record is not found. Fees for marriage certificates are $20 per verification and for divorces or annulments the cost is also $20 per verification. All requests are returned via USPS.
